Making the Yuletide Gay
Jonathan Adler did not always follow norms, and when it came to holiday branding we decided that traditional holiday color palettes could be abandoned. Being festive did not have to mean Christmas trees and snow flakes. It was about exuberance, gifts and happiness.
I created patterns that celebrated his groovy world of pottery, illustrations that emulated the spirit of his ceramic menagerie, and a photography campaign full of chic woodland creatures. The goal was to capture the lush, excessive theme of a happy, handcrafted home.
Ornament boxes in graphic patterns designed to complement the treasures they’re holding. Every side of the box is taken into consideration. Sitting on a shelf, they look like small wrapped gift boxes. The underside: a celebration of illustration and pattern.
